Neck Pain / Cervical Spondylosis

Neck pain and cervical spondylosis involve stiffness or wear-related changes in the neck's spine, often from prolonged screen use or poor posture; physiotherapy helps ease pain and improve neck mobility.

Common Symptoms

Do's

  • Keep your screen at eye level while working
  • Take frequent breaks from looking down at phones
  • Support your neck with a comfortable pillow while sleeping
  • Practice gentle neck movements within a comfortable range

Don'ts

  • Don't stay in one fixed neck position for long
  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach with your neck twisted
  • Don't crack or force your neck forcefully
  • Avoid carrying heavy bags on one shoulder

When to see a physiotherapist: Seek assessment if neck pain is accompanied by arm weakness, numbness, or persists beyond two weeks.
