Bow legs (genu varum) and knock knees (genu valgum) are common, normal stages in a growing child's leg development and usually straighten out on their own. Physiotherapy supports healthy alignment and strength when the curve is significant or doesn't correct with age.
When to see a physiotherapist: See a doctor if the curve is severe, one-sided, painful, or hasn't improved by age seven to eight.
